Bicycle Quarterly exists because riding bikes is our passion. Our rides vary in length and scope, from our 50-mile “Bike Test Loop” to hundreds of miles in the mountains.

We explore interesting roads that see little traffic. We look for beautiful landscapes and places that remain off the beaten path. We also publish historic accounts of inspiring rides, whether the 1920s Tour de France, Paris-Brest-Paris or touring Europe during the 1960s.

Our articles put you right into the action and convey the joy of riding a bike. They include humor and observations about the landscape we traverse. They will inspire you to ride your bike more.

Examples of ride articles published in Bicycle Quarterly include:

Collecting Roads.

Touring in India on a locally-made 3-speed bicycle.

The Continental Tour of 1963 with Dr. Clifford Graves.

Riding the Raid Pyrénéen from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean via the highest peaks of the Pyrénées mountains.
